Visited this park at Easter 2010 and was very pleased. Lots of entertainment on offer for the kids and caravan was lovely, almost new and clean. Go into Cleethorpes for the fish and chips though!

We have been to this site now about 8 times. It is a 3½ hour journey from where we live but we like Cleethorpes very much as there is lots to do around the area. What I don’t like about the site is that it is expensive as you have to pay for the entertainment passes and we tend not to go to watch the entertainment much. However, the kids enjoy it and the activities. The food in the entertainment area is expensive and not very appealing. The shop on site is very expensive. There is a Tesco about 5 minutes drive away if you have a car. There are also quite a number of pub restaurants a few minutes walk away off site and although there is a fish shop on the park it is not very nice. There is a fish shop about a couple of minute walk away from the site and this is very nice. I would recommend eating off site and bringing food and drink with you rather than have to rely on buying from the park. The best option for food is The Trawlerman carvery pub at the entrance to the Haven site. Fantastic food at £3.49 for a carvery Mon-Sat and £5.99 during the weekend Excellent food!

Regarding the camping facilities, The toilets are cleaned about 3 times a day and are a credit to the wardens. When you have good toilet facilities and clean showers it makes a big difference to your camping experience. We have a large caravan with shower and toilet but never use these.

There are 3 types of pitches, the best is the most expensive and includes electric, drainage and water facilities on your pitch. This is hard standing. There are also basic grass pitches with electric and then basic pitches for tents.

One of the problems with the site is the constant noise until about midnight, the park staff get fed up with complaints and security don’t bother either

The beach is a short walk away from the caravan pitches and is a lovely walk along the beach.

There is a outside water park on site but remember England does not have very good weather. , we found that the ‘waterpark’ was just 2 big slides, a lazy river, and a small kids slide.

Apart from my complaints, the site was fantastic. The pitches were clean and well kept.

Overall a very nice clean site with lots of facilities and this is our favourite Haven site, but like all sites with entertainment you need a lot of money!!! And you also need a lot of money to pay for the pitch before you get there. However, I do like the site and the area. Its just a shame there is not another caravan site in Cleethorpes that we could go to.#
