We have just returned from the 2011 Raw tour at butlins. We did not know really what to expect but it was fantastic! my son loved it. As the arena only holds around 5000 you will get a great view pretty much where you sit. There was 4 of us & we stayed in silver accomadation, was expensive £747 in total with food included (breakfast & diner), however we feel that it’s better value than going to the o2 arena as you get a full weekend out of it & my son loved the whole theme of the weekend, almost all the kids spent the weekend dressed in John Cena or CM Punk outfits. We were 14 rows back & have already booked to go back next year. They had a great offer onsite which meant we are only paying a extra £19 to stay in gold accomadition & should only be 6 or 7 rows back. When we booked for next year the lady had said there had been a massive uptake of bookings for next year & she does not think there will be much left when they go on general sale in March.

We went to Raw at Minehead in November 2011 and it was good but there were a few issues.

The night time entertainment was not child orientated and there was a distinct lack of redcoats!! We was told that everyone was on hols and that they drafted in others from the park to do hosting.

The view for silver accomodation was not that great unless you was in the tiers. We booked within 2 hours of release last year and was recommended Silver due to have a 4 year old and him being able to see….. well…… when we got there, we found that indeed we were in the tier, but… at the bottom row….

For the whole show, the people stood and we couldn’t really see anything. My hats off to guest services who did apologise upon my complaint.
We too have booked for next year while on site and have also booked gold instead on silver. Hopefully…. we will get a better view and also the stewards will be more proactive in telling people to sit down!!!

It was a lovely time but perhaps next year Butlins could do a bit more entertainment for the kids!!!
